BN1 SYNC: I witnessed up close how the future of salons is built

I took part in BN1 SYNC in Milan: two days that showed how consulting and artificial intelligence are transforming business in salons.
There’s a moment, during certain events, when you realize you’re witnessing something important.
That’s exactly what I thought when I walked into Casa Gessi in Milan, where BN1 presented SYNC — an experience that didn’t just talk about innovation; it showed it.
In front of me, over 250 attendees and more than 80 salons from across Italy.
It wasn’t a show, nor just another meeting: it was two days focused on a single key word — business.
Because today, a salon can’t survive on scissors and color alone. What’s needed are method, data, and vision.

BN1’s CEO Samuel Milotic put it clearly:
“Salons must become modern and sustainable companies. We want to guide them on that journey.”
And he proved it — presenting real cases of salons that, thanks to BN1’s consulting, have started growing again.
But the real surprise had a name: Luluu — a voice assistant powered by artificial intelligence, designed specifically for hairdressers.
A smart system that listens, analyzes, advises, and helps optimize bookings, sales, and profits.
It’s not science fiction; it’s the direction of those who want to run their salon with their mind, not just their hands.

What struck me most was the practicality of the whole project.
No slogans, no vague promises — just numbers, structure, and results.
In 2024 alone, BN1 worked with over 105 salons, involving 470 professionals, and aims to reach 200 salons by 2026.
A solid path built alongside key partners like L’Oréal, Ghd, and Maletti.

It’s no coincidence that many, on their way out, spoke of a “new era.”
Personally, I simply felt I was witnessing the beginning of a quiet revolution —
a revolution made by people who believe that being a hairdresser can — and must — once again mean being an entrepreneur.
And if this is only the beginning, the industry truly has reasons to be optimistic.
