Ancorotti Bill: Confartigianato pushes for clear rules and protections

By Max Randi, Director of MdP
For years, as Director of Il Magazine del Parrucchiere, I have been carefully following the issues that affect our category. This time, however, the news is one that deserves to be underlined: Confartigianato, CNA and Casartigiani have given full support to the bill A.S. 1619, presented by Senator Renato Ancorotti.
A text that can change the rules of the game for over 150,000 artisan companies active in aesthetics and hairdressing, an economic and social reality that counts very much in Italy.
The strengths of the reform
The bill proposes a modern and up-to-date regulatory framework. Inside there are innovations that, personally, I consider decisive:
- New recognized professional profiles: nail technician and make-up artist will finally have a clear framework.
- Specialization in oncological aesthetics: a path that gives social value and strengthens professionalism.
- Regulated off-site work: no more “gray areas”, but certain rules.
- Armchair and cabin rental: a tool that brings flexibility and new business opportunities.
- Temporary technical manager: useful for not blocking an activity.
- Strengthened sanctions against abusiveness: protection for regular businesses and consumers.
Why Confartigianato supports the reform
In the words released by Confartigianato, the DDL represents “an organic intervention on the entire beauty and hairdressing sector, with certain rules to protect the market and citizens”. Translated: finally we get out of the jungle of fragmented rules, giving dignity and order to those who work seriously.
My review
For me this is an opportunity that we cannot miss. If it passes, it means more protection, more recognition, more clarity towards customers.
If it stops, we remain in the usual limbo: squatters without control and professionals without status.
Conclusion
Confartigianato, CNA and Casartigiani have launched an appeal to Parliament: to quickly approve the measure. I would add: it is also up to us to make our voice heard, because it concerns the future of all Italian salons.
And you, what do you think?
