Semi-Permanent Nail Polishes and Gel 2025: from September 1st Stop to TPO and Dimethyltolylamine throughout the European Union

From 1 September 2025, EU Regulation 2025/877 will come into effect: stop TPO and Dimethyltolylamine in nail gels and semi-permanent nail polishes. Products containing these substances can no longer be sold or used, even if they have already been purchased or opened. Estheticians and hairdressers who offer nails services need to check their stock now and switch to safe and compliant formulations.
