Overlaps: the Spectacular Hair Color by Stefano Bugada for Hairtium

When hairstyling becomes art, the result is not just a color but a visual experience. This is the case of OVERLAPS, the new creation designed by Stefano Bugada for Hairtium International Academy.
Stefano Bugada’s touch
We are not talking about just any hairstylist: Stefano Bugada is now JRL Italia Brand Ambassador, and this job is the clearest demonstration of this. The entire project was carried out using JRL instruments, synonymous with precision and performance. Tools that every hairdresser can find at Morocutti, the official importer in Italy.
The idea behind OVERLAPS
The concept stems from the play of overlapping colors: pink, purple, orange and yellow intertwine in a dynamic flow that changes with light and movement. It is not a flat color, but a set of reflections that give three-dimensionality and depth.
How the result was obtained
The secret lies in the advanced colorimetry and strategic use of the sections:
- the softer bases create continuity between one shade and another;
- the chromatic overlaps are carefully calibrated, without sharp detachments but with a fluidity that makes the color natural even in the most daring combinations;
- Strategic light points enhance volumes and make waves vibrate, giving the look three-dimensionality and movement.
Here creativity is not left to chance: it is the technique that guides the result. And with JRL tools , Stefano was able to refine every detail with pinpoint precision, from the separation of the strands to the final definition of the styling.
Technique and tools
The result would not have been possible without the combination of:
- an advanced colorimetry technique,
- the skilful use of waves to give movement,
- and above all JRL tools, which guarantee fluidity in work and maximum control over every detail.
